Drabbles Drobble: THe OHC Writer's Guild 100 Word Story Challenge

Our writing assignment for the Aug 11 meeting was something called a drabble - a story done in exactly 100 words.

AT THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE:

"Take a number."

"I need to see the Doctor NOW"

"Why are you so special?  Take a number and wait your turn."

"I'm in a lot of PAIN."

"Who isn't?  Look at everyone.  They're all hurt.  Take a number or leave."

"Alright already!  523!  Who are you serving now?"

"137. Sit. Read. Enjoy some Tolstoy."

FIVE HOURS LATER:

"So what's the problem?"

"Doctor, it hurts when I do THAT."

"Stop doing THAT!  Problem solved.  NEXT!"

"Wait.  That's it?  I waited all day in pain for that?"

"524!"

THE END.

The story title is:

The Vaudevillian Cure
